Our local County Cllr for St Giles, Nicola Clarke, was recently in St Giles Community Garden, which has been awarded Community Champion status from Lincolnshire Co-Op.
It was a wonderful surprise to be selected and from June until September 2022 funds raised in the local Co-Op stores in the area will be shared equally with one other nomination from the Ermine. It is hoped the award will be around the £500 mark and perhaps even more.
The award will support the garden with plants and equipment for the wonderful volunteers who work hard to cultivate not only produce for the local community but a green space to meet and hold little events and provide activity and relaxation for some residents.
Nicola will be seeking support from other sources to develop the other side of St Giles Church garden, something for the community and visitors alike to cherish and enjoy for the future.
