Many of the large Lincoln employers are attending and one, Anglian Water, has an amazing 64 full time vacancies on their books, and there are also many local organisations and educational partners who will be offering training programmes and apprenticeship schemes.”
Jobseekers are advised to prepare a one minute advert about themselves to promote their chances of gaining an interview from the companies who are showcasing at the event. There will also be a range of workshops and seminars on topics such as 'tips for a successful interview', 'writing a winning CV', advice for jobseekers looking for permanent or temporary employment and a joint presentation by the Armed Forces on 'what the military can do for you'.
Karl McCartney MP added: “Local media including The Lincolnshire Echo and The Lincolnite, as well as local businesses such as Siemens, Ingeus, Bifrangi, the Co-Op, Stagecoach, Waitrose, Lagat and many others are kindly supporting this event and, by doing so, investing in the people of Lincoln. Our aim is to introduce excellent local candidates to companies who perhaps without this jobs fair may not have applied for any of the advertised vacancies.”
“I am very grateful to all the businesses, individuals and organisations taking part for their very generous support and to those who are sponsoring or assisting with the event in any way. I look forward to meeting many of my constituents who will be taking on some of the opportunities available at the Jobs Fair on Friday 14th at The Assembly Rooms, Bailgate.”
