Last night, Cllr Tom Dyer and Cllr Rachel Storer had "called-in" the Labour-run Council's Executive's decision to cancel the world-renowned Lincoln Christmas Market on the grounds that there was no proper consultation, poor reasoning provided and that alternatives to keep the market open were not fully considered.
During the meeting, it was clear that the Labour members present had no interest in acknowledging the mistakes that had been made and they duly voted down our call-in request, meaning the market cancellation decision stands.
We will continue to fight Labour on this decision and a Conservative-run Council will reinstate the Market THIS YEAR, if elected at the May local elections.
