Cllr Briggs was elected to the City of Lincoln Council in May 2018 and re-elected in May 2022. Cllr Briggs was elected to represent Eagle and Hykeham West on Lincolnshire County Council in a by-election in May 2023. 

Cllr Briggs is proud to represent both Birchwood and Eagle and Hykeham West. Cllr Briggs works hard to tackle traffic issues, fly-tipping, potholes, anti-social behaviour and housing. 

Cllr Briggs holds a monthly advice surgery at the Life Church 127-129 Birchwood Avenue on the last Wednesday of each month from 2pm to 3pm. 

Cllr Briggs is the current Mayor of Lincoln.

This morning, Cllr Alan Briggs and David Clarkson, our candidate from the recent local elections, have been out speaking to residents in Birchwood Ward. There have been constructive comments from residents about leaving the European Union, and about local issues.
